PROBLEM: Customers are complaining that heat is coming from console, even when the unit is not
in use.
CAUSE: The electronic control has a power resistor that produces heat and causes the console to
become warm.
SOLUTION: In June, 1996, a new control that does not use the power resistor will be phased into
production. Part numbers will remain the same, or will automatically be substituted. For dishwashers
that have the heat problem, order and replace the control with stock from LaPorte.
